We are in a time of extraordinary significance unlike any moment in the history of humanity because what we do or do not do in the next five years has consequences that are incredibly significant for human life and all life on earth. Chera van Burg, Producer of the film CALL OF LIFE, Executive Director of Species Alliance: http://speciesalliance.org/index.php, and psychologist will discuss the cultural myths and deep-seated psychological patterns that have allowed the mass extinction crisis to develop and continue to determine our response to it. We will watch excerpts from her newly completed film and consider that technological solutions are insufficient because our thoughts and behaviors are inextricably linked to the factors driving this crisis. Instead, the challenge and evolutionary adventure is creating change in our minds and our hearts.
